26/27 Regional Head Coach

At Apex, we believe strong fundamentals, positive coaching, and meaningful athlete development create the foundation for long-term success. Our Regional Team Coaches play an important role in helping athletes build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a love for the game in an encouraging and growth-focused environment.

Position Overview

Apex is seeking energetic, dependable, and development-focused coaches to lead our Regional teams throughout the club season. Regional coaches are responsible for creating a positive team culture while teaching and reinforcing core volleyball fundamentals in a structured and supportive environment.

We are looking for coaches who are patient teachers, strong communicators, and passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead two team practices per week

• Coach teams at approximately 6 tournaments throughout the season

• Teach and reinforce core volleyball fundamentals and technical skill development

• Create a positive, encouraging, and team-oriented environment

• Provide constructive feedback that builds athlete confidence and understanding

• Support athlete growth through mentorship, accountability, and consistent communication

• Communicate professionally with athletes, families, directors, and staff

• Collaborate with fellow coaches and club leadership to support overall program development

• Continue pursuing coaching education and growth opportunities

• Represent Apex culture and values at all practices and events

Qualifications

• Relevant coaching and/or playing experience preferred

• Passion for teaching and developing young athletes

• Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals and skill progression

• Positive, energetic, and engaged coaching style

• Clear communicator with the ability to teach skills effectively

• Patient, dependable, and team-oriented

• Willingness to learn, grow, and develop as a coach
