Founding Director - Apex Serves

At Apex, we are dedicated to developing whole athletes and ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of passion, effort, and opportunity. Apex Serves is our new non-profit branch created to support, empower, and provide financial assistance to athletes and families within our community.

Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and dedicated Founding Director to help launch and shape Apex Serves from the ground up. As a key volunteer leader, this individual will play a fundamental role in laying the organizational foundation, establishing non-profit governance, and overseeing the financial aid application and approval process for athletes in need. This role is ideal for a community-minded leader passionate about youth sports accessibility, philanthropy, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with club leadership to formally launch, organize, and establish the operational framework of Apex Serves.

• Oversee the review and approval process for financial aid requests and scholarship opportunities for athletes.

• Assist in establishing financial aid criteria, policies, and guidelines to ensure fair and objective distribution of resources.

• Serve as an advocate for Apex Serves within the community to build awareness and support outreach initiatives.

• Maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism regarding all family financial disclosures.

• Ensure alignment between Apex Serves operations and the core mission, values, and culture of Apex Volleyball.

Qualifications

• Experience in non-profit management, board governance, leadership, or business administration preferred.

• Passion for sports accessibility, youth mentorship, and community service.

• Strong organizational, decision-making, and financial oversight skills.

• High level of discretion, empathy, and professional integrity when handling sensitive financial information.

• Alignment with the Apex values of respect, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

• Ability to pass all required background checks.
