We are looking for a few passionate Parent Ambassadors to help support this growth and the 300+ families during our 2026-2027 travel season.
Position Overview
The Parent Ambassador is passionate about creating and nurturing a positive environment for families and coaches at Apex. This individual abides by and promotes the Apex Standard of developing whole athletes on and off the court. The Parent Ambassador understands the expectations, logistics, and commitments demanded by a competitive travel and training program and is compassionate and empathetic to help players, parents and coaches navigate the pressure and responsibilities associated with such commitment. This individual is expected to assist the leadership team with resolving player and parent concerns and grievances in a productive and professional manner and in alignment with Apex rules and culture. The Parent Ambassador must be available for the duration of the contract, particularly during club season peak times.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents for questions regarding technology tools and systems, practice and tournament schedules, tournament logistics, lodging arrangements, season deadlines, club policies and procedures, and other questions or concerns.
Assist Apex leadership team with promoting parent engagement, club events, and culture adoption.
Collaborate with Apex leadership to ensure alignment in messaging and player experience.
Act as an intermediary between coaches and families to assist with conflict resolution as needed.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Two years of travel sports experience as a parent with a club that promotes a culture of excellence (volleyball preferred).
Solid understanding of the club season timeline and logistics.
Familiarity with platforms such as AES, SportWrench, SportsEngine, Hudl, and others.
Alignment with the Apex values of respect, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Ability to pass all background checks and obtain all necessary certifications.
PREFERRED:
Experience with navigating difficult conversations with professionalism and discretion.
Approachable and welcoming to questions and needs.
